Apellate Court hesitant to throw out 'Napoleon Dynamite' decision

A three-judge panel seemed reluctant to disregard an 80-page opinion favoring Fox in a DVD royalty dispute against producers of "Napoleon Dynamite"

LOS ANGELES - A state apellate court appeared hesitant Thursday to overturn an 80-page decision penned by retired judge Patricia Collins finding that Fox Searchlight Studios Inc. and the producers of the low-budget 2004 film "Napoleon Dynamite" had agreed on a 10 percent royalty rate for DVD sales.
