Statute of limitations blocks malpractice suit, judge rules

A Los Angeles County judge has dropped a malpractice lawsuit against Crowell & Moring LLP, ruling that the plaintiff did not bring the case quickly enough.

A Los Angeles County judge has dropped a malpractice lawsuit against Crowell & Moring LLP, ruling that the plaintiff did not bring the case quickly enough. Superior Court Judge Mel Red Recana ruled Friday that the complaint by Guven Uzun concerned representation by Crowell & Moring that concluded in 2011, but Uzun didn't bring his claims until 2014, so he was barred by the statute of limitations.
