Wilson Sonsini guides $21 billion pharma deal

Pharmacyclics, Inc., maker of the cancer-treatment drug Imbruvica, was aquired by AbbVie Inc. with the guidance of law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the company anounced late Wednesday.

Sunnyvale-based cancer drug maker Pharmacyclics Inc., tapped Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC to manage its $21 billion sale to AbbVie Inc., a deal announced late Wednesday.


Robert T. Ishii and Denny Kwon, both partners in Wilson Sonsini's San Francisco office, led the M&A effort for Pharmacyclics.
