Veteran of State Agencies Finds Good Mix at Sedgwick

SAN FRANCISCO - While Michael Bernick was chairman of the Bay Area Rapid Transit board of directors in the mid-1990s, the San Francisco lawyer worked on land-use and real estate issues surrounding BART stations. A few years later, Gov. Gray Davis appointed Bernick as director of the state's Employment Development Department, where he focused on labor and employment law.
