Jurist Protects Jackson's Mother on Stand
LOS ANGELES - Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville split the baby in his decision Wednesday to shield from cross-examination the mother of Michael Jackson's current accuser, whom defense lawyers want to show committed welfare fraud to undermine the case against their client.
