AG Owes Judge Apology for Probing His San Quentin Visit

Forum Column - By Stephen R. Reinhardt - Professor Laurie L. Levenson's recent column about Judge Alex Kozinski astonished me. "Moral Wrangling: Kozinski's Conduct Left Officials No Choice But to Act," Forum, March 4. A former prosecutor should know better than to accept blindly one side of a story. I would have expected a greater degree of fair-mindedness and accuracy on her part. Unlike Levenson, I have spoken directly with both parties and know quite a bit about the controversy from both sides.
