SAN FRANCISCO - Senior Circuit Judge David Renwick Thompson spent part of last week hearing oral arguments at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' headquarters, despite worsening stomach pains that led to his death Saturday at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was 80.
