Legal Sector Adds Jobs in January
January saw a modest increase in legal sector jobs, but analysts say stagnant demand and economic hardship will have a lasting effect on how firms staff their offices.

The legal services sector added jobs for the first time since September, according to the U.S. Labor Department's monthly survey.
Employment in the industry grew by 400 in January, the report showed. At the same time, though, revisions showed December's legal job losses were worse than estimated, at 1,600 positions lost instead of the 1,000 initially reported.
