Vietnam Strengthens Consumer Protection Law

After several years on the drafting table, Vietnam's newly issued Consumer Protection Law consolidates an individual's rights regarding the use, collection and transfer of consumer information, which until now were scattered among a variety of regulations.
The new law, which will take effect on 1 July 2011 and replace the outdated 1999 Ordinance on Protection of Consumers Rights, strengthens the data privacy...
