Registered Domestic Partners Get Civil Rights Protection

SAN FRANCISCO - California's Unruh Civil Rights Act shields same-sex couples registered as domestic partners, the state Supreme Court declared Monday in a 5-1 vote for a lesbian couple who sued to play golf under a country club's family plan.
