Ex-Sportscaster Became Superior Court Judge

NEWPORT BEACH - A memorial service will take place in August for retired Superior Court Judge Phillip A. Petty. Petty, a sports fan who once worked as a public address announcer for some of Los Angeles' most storied teams, died unexpectedly July 20 at Hoag Memorial Medical Center in Newport Beach.
