Defender Denies Donations Could Have Influenced Councilman
SAN DIEGO - A lawyer for a San Diego city councilman on trial on public corruption charges said Monday that campaign funds given his client by strip-club interests amounted to such a tiny fraction of contributions to the official that the money could not have influenced him.
