District Court Judge Urged to Dump Trans Union Settlement
SAN FRANCISCO - Accusing plaintiffs and defense counsel of collusive self-dealing in a proposed $15 million class-action settlement involving consumer credit reporting giant Trans Union Corp., a Southern California attorney pleaded with U.S. District Judge William Alsup at a hearing in San Francisco Thursday to derail the deal.
