A Forgetful Wife Killer Is Met Halfway

^^Law & Order^^ By Stephen A. Mansfield Two fast punches to the head and a 57-year-old woman is dead. Her head hits the floor and she's left unattended for five hours. Ironically, this occurs in a hospital. When one detective quips, "She comes to the hospital for some tests and they manage to kill her," Detective Briscoe deadpans , "I guess that's why they call it managed care." HMO-bashing is popular because it is so satisfying.
