Suit Claims Irvine Registration Drive in Support of Measure F

IRVINE - An attorney and Irvine resident has filed a taxpayer lawsuit against the city and its governing body, claiming a voter registration drive approved by the city council before the March 7 election constituted an illegal use of taxpayer funds in support of Measure F, the initiative that requires a two-thirds public vote before Orange County officials can approve a project such as an airport at the former El Toro Marine Base.
