The recent article on MCLE requirements was a good article. ["State Bar Study of Continuing Legal Education May Lead to More Required Hours," Dec. 19]. Readers should know, however, that the MCLE requirement is a complete waste of attorney time with no real value to anybody. Most attorneys specialize in one or two areas and to require that they catch up on areas that they never use is just unproductive.
