      Peter J. Rose spent 10 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit - the rape of a 13-year-old Lodi girl. After his exoneration, he won a $1 million judgment from the government that put him away by mistake.
      But an appellate court said Tuesday that too much time had passed for Rose to sue his defense lawyer for malpractice.
