Agreement Reached to Spend Tobacco Dollars

In an unusual display of unity, Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan and City Attorney James K. Hahn have stopped fighting over how national tobacco settlement money should be spent and have sent a letter to a City Council committee recommending funding for sidewalk repairs and anti-smoking programs.
