Court Criticizes Same Crime, But Different Time
SAN FRANCISCO - In an important victory for deported aliens, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday that sentencing judges should consider reducing some sentences because certain districts, such as Los Angeles, routinely hand out much higher sentences than other districts, like San Diego.
