Justices Will Review Use of Celebrity Likenesses
SAN FRANCISCO - Even as the state Legislature moves to strengthen the publicity rights of deceased celebrities, the California Supreme Court announced Wednesday that it will take a hard look at the scope of an existing statute that prohibits unauthorized commercial use of such a celebrity's likeness.
