Beard Cost LAPD Officer Promotion, Suit States

A Los Angeles police lieutenant who claims he has been passed over for promotion to captain because a skin condition prevented him from shaving his beard sued the city and Police Chief Bernard C. Parks Wednesday for discrimination based on race and disability.
