SACRAMENTO - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger swore in Tani Cantil-Sakauye as the 28th chief justice of California Friday morning in a ceremony at the state capitol.
The 30-minute ceremony came four months after the governor nominated Cantil-Sakauye to replace outgoing Chief Justice Ronald George, and 43 years after Cantil-Sakauye told her mom she was "going to be somebody."
