Wal-Mart Diversified — And You Can Too

On Sept. 17, Joseph K. West, associate general counsel for outside counsel management at Wal-Mart Stores Inc., participated in a panel on law firm diversity in Los Angeles that was hosted by the Associate of Corporate Counsel - SoCal chapter. West explained how Wal-Mart decided to become a leader in pushing for the hiring and promotion of more minorities and women in legal workplaces. Here is an edited transcript of what he had to say:
