MGA Tries to Pause OMM Case

MGA Entertainment seeks to halt discovery in a case in which O'Melveny & Myers accuses MGA of refusing to pay $10.2 million in legal fees.

A sideshow is developing in the bitter and drawn-out fight between MGA Entertainment and Mattel Inc. over who owns the Bratz doll line: a fee dispute between MGA and its former lawyers, O'Melveny & Myers.


O'Melveny sued MGA for refusing to pay a $10.2 million bill; MGA countered that O'Melveny overbilled the company and committed malpractice.
