Rancho Cucamonga Councilman Convicted of Felonies

In the first trial in a wide-ranging government corruption scheme in San Bernardino County, a jury convicted Rancho Cucamonga Councilman Rex Gutierrez Wednesday on felony grand theft, fraud and conspiracy charges.

In the first trial in a wide-ranging government corruption scheme in San Bernardino County, a jury convicted Rancho Cucamonga Councilman Rex Gutierrez Wednesday on felony grand theft, fraud and conspiracy charges for accepting a salary in a county job for which he did little work.


Gutierrez resigned from the council on Wednesday.
