Exotic Reptile Smuggling Conviction Overturned

SAN FRANCISCO - The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, saying the government took too long to bring the defendant to trial, tossed out Thursday the conviction of an Arizona man allegedly involved in an extensive plot to smuggle exotic reptiles into the United States.
