Big Bear Courthouse Reopens After Fire Closure

SAN BERNARDINO - The San Bernardino County courthouse in Big Bear has reopened after being closed since Oct. 28 because of wildfires. The tiny courthouse Wednesday began handling case filings and other court services for the public, but Judge Michael Dest, the sole jurist at the courthouse, won't hear cases there until next week, according to Presiding Judge J. Michael Welch.
