Engineer Who Stole Code Gets Year in Jail

SAN JOSE - The former Cadence engineer whose theft of his employer's software code led to the discovery of substantial trade-secrets theft by the Avant Corp. has been sentenced to a year in county jail by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Conrad Rushing.
