Cardiovascular device supplier Medtronic Inc. will acquire two separate but related medical device manufacturers. The Minneapolis company has agreed to buy Northridge's MiniMed Inc. for nearly $3.3 billion in cash. It also has agreed to buy Sylmar's Medical Research Group for $420 million in cash and stock.
