LAUSD Wins 10-Year-Old Claim on Hotel Repayment

LOS ANGELES - A state appellate court cleared another hurdle in the Los Angeles Unified School District's attempts to either acquire the Ambassador Hotel as a school site or get back $47.9 million deposited with the hotel's owners 10 years ago during eminent-domain proceedings that the district later abandoned.
