Brobeck Phleger: MILPITAS' LSI LOGIC WILL PAY $222 MILLION FOR RAID UNIT
Semiconductor maker LSI Logic Corp. has agreed to buy a division of American Megatrends Inc. for nearly $222 million in cash. LSI Logic will acquire the assets of American Megatrend's RAID, or redundant array of independent disks, business. The assets to be purchased include RAID's software intellectual property and host-adapter products.
