Web Auctioneer EBay Pays $415 Million for Rent.com

Web auctioneer eBay has snapped up privately held Rent.com in a $415 million deal. The Palo Alto office of Cooley Godward is representing eBay in the deal, while Los Angeles-based Latham & Watkins has been obtained as legal counsel for Viva Group Inc., which operates publicly as Rent.com.
