AG Nominee Defends Not Applying Geneva Conventions to Detainees
WASHINGTON - Attorney general nominee Alberto Gonzales on Thursday pledged to comply with all of the United States' domestic and international legal obligations if confirmed to lead the Department of Justice, but he defended the Bush administration's decision that the Geneva Conventions do not apply to terrorist detainees.
