Courts Should Apply New Law, Ideas to Child-Support Cases

Forum Column - By Jeffrey A. Lowe - "California's child support statutes are a legal world unto themselves." This statement, from In re Marriage of Hall , 81 Cal.App.4th 313 (2001), is especially true and tragic when the state knowingly enforces a child-support court order against a man who is proved not to be the biological father of the child named in the judgment and has no relationship with the child.
