Panel Says BlackBerry Infringed Patents
SAN FRANCISCO - A federal appeals court affirmed Tuesday a district court ruling that the maker of the popular BlackBerry hand-held device has infringed patents held by another company. The ruling could result in the shutdown of the popular BlackBerry e-mail system, which has more than 1 million U.S. users.
