Mutual Fund Companies Settle With SEC

SAN FRANCISCO - Two subsidiaries of Franklin Resources Inc., one of the nation's largest mutual fund companies, have agreed to pay $20 million to settle charges they failed to properly disclose payments to brokers who recommended their funds.
