9th Hears Alameda Jury-Bias Appeal
SAN FRANCISCO - The controversy over alleged exclusion of Jews and black women from some Alameda County juries reared its head in a federal appeals court Wednesday, as a man sentenced to life in prison for petty theft challenged the exclusion of two black women from his jury in 1996.
