MDL ordered in Sony data breach suits

Eighteen individual actions arising from a massive data breach of the Sony PlayStation network will be consolidated in the Southern District of California.

Eighteen individual actions arising from a massive data breach of the Sony PlayStation network will be consolidated in the Southern District of California.

The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation ordered the consolidation Monday, noting that 43 additional "potential tag-along actions" could be included in the MDL. U.S. District Judge Anthony J. Battaglia will preside.
