Special Master Named for San Francisco 'Pitchess' Review

SAN FRANCISCO - Joshua Weinstein, a staff attorney for the state Judicial Council, was appointed Monday as a special master to review 3,500 San Francisco police disciplinary files to determine whether all pertinent records of officer misconduct were turned over to defense attorneys pursuant to Pitchess motions.
