Purolator Air Filtration Products Co. , 23 Cal.4th 163 (2000), the state Supreme Court held that restitution is the only monetary relief available to a private plaintiff in an action brought on behalf of absent parties under the state's unfair-competition law, Business & Professions Code Section 17200 et seq.
