Court OKs Youth-Sentencing Change
LOS ANGELES - The state Supreme Court gave the go-ahead Thursday for courts to modify the sentences of juveniles who commit alleged criminal conduct while on probation after finding them guilty only by a preponderance of the evidence, not through a criminal proceeding to determine reasonable doubt.
