Daschle, Carville Top List Of Speakers at Convention
By Stefanie Knapp The Association of Trial Lawyers of America received what it views as great news just in time for its annual convention. The national group lobbied hard this past year to defeat a medical-malpractice bill in Congress that would have limited noneconomic damages to $250,000. All their work paid off as Senate Democrats blocked the bill July 9, killing it for this year.
