This year a staggering number of lawsuits have been filed against the National Football League, National Collegiate Athletic Association and local high schools over allegations of mismanagement of concussions, lack of clear return-to-play policies and concealing the risk of long-term health affect by professional players down to high school football players. Peer-reviewed medical literature that has been available for decades would appear to support the players' claims.
