Lien Law Unfairly Transfers Risk to Homeowners

Wary of conflicting claims about the complicated statute, the Assembly Judiciary Committee had referred the issue to the Law Revision Commission in the hope of avoiding some of the annual pitched battles between contractors, subcontractors, construction lenders and project owners.
