Firm helps bring the holidays to Skid Row
Lawyers and staff in the Los Angeles office of McGuireWoods LLP gathered on Dec. 19 to wrap more than 400 umbrellas, flashlights and other donated winter gifts for holiday delivery to the Downtown Women's Center. Spearheaded by associates Julie Wei and Tracy Moyer, the event marks the sixth community giving event organized by McGuireWoods for DWC in the past four years. The DWC is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization founded in 1978 that provides supportive housing and is exclusively dedicated to serving the unique needs of homeless and very low-income women in Los Angeles' Skid Row community.
