Turning Toward the Light

SAN FRANCISCO - The first thing you notice about Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe's new building at First and Howard streets is the light. Afternoon visitors to the modern South of Market building are struck by direct sunlight. It pours in from all corners of the building at Foundry Square. Each office has floor-to-ceiling windows, and a dramatic 10-story light well illuminates the interior.
