Panel Affirms Libel Award to Attorney

LOS ANGELES - A state appeals court has affirmed a $2.25 million judgment in favor of Beverly Hills attorney and businessman Leonard M. Ross, who sued the Santa Barbara News-Press and its then-owner, The New York Times, because he said the paper printed defamatory articles about him in 1988 and 1989.
