Bar Elects Van De Kamp Its Chief
SAN FRANCISCO - Former state attorney general and Los Angeles District Attorney John K. Van de Kamp will lead the State Bar next year. Although his election was never really in doubt, it took members of the bar board of governors a surprising four ballots Saturday morning to elect Van de Kamp over three other candidates vying to be the group's 2004-05 president.
