Senator Receives Second Death Threat
SACRAMENTO - Salinas Valley prison authorities have intercepted a second death threat against state Sen. Gloria Romero, she disclosed Thursday. The East Lost Angeles Democrat said a letter containing white powder and a death threat against her and her family was intercepted at Salinas Valley State Prison last month just after she presided over hearings critical of the state prison system.
