Best Best & Krieger sends supplies to students in need

For the fourth year in a row, all nine Best Best & Krieger LLP offices joined together to provide underprivileged students with the supplies they need to kick off a new school year: backpacks stuffed with pens, pencils, highlighters and notebooks. The firm, which donated 400 backpacks in total, was participating in Volunteers of America's Operation Backpack. Staff and attorneys provided the supplies and personally filled the backpacks, which were purchased by the firm. On Wednesday, the firm's Southern California offices shipped their donations to the Family Resource Center in Rialto, a center operated by Volunteers of America Southwest that provides case management and community referrals to about 1,400 low-income families each year. — Kylie Reynolds
